Temporal Hiatus

So, I had been moving on quite slowly on my projects lately and while this was due to my job leaving me little free time, the past month was a different story. I was working on an extension on my SPD project when my computer critically failed. Long story short, it crashed so bad that I had to clean slate it and even change the OS. While I managed to recover most of my files, all the files I had open at the moment of the crashing: my personal projects for my real life job and my PR projects, most of them got corrupted, to the point all the docs related to my real life job are gone now and from my PR projects I'm left with about 20% of what I had.
So, I lost most of the finished projects (the version I upload here) and the step by step projects too. From the final versions, including Kaiserverse originals and cannon changes, I only have 7 final versions and about 10 projects have their step by step versions. So, I lost pretty much everything, including the latest project I was working on, which means I will have to start it over from scratch. On the bright side, my bases were saved, thanks in good part that I have a copy of it in every project I make lol.
Well, to the point. By losing all of this, yeah its a huge blow on my projects, which will take me some time to recover from, I will have to scavenge my own dA for the final versions lol, and redo some others. This means I won't be able to upload new projects for a while, so, to all my followers, I do apologize for this, but I need to get my stuff back together, not to mention my real life docs need the same, so yeah, I'll be busy.
On the bright side, I've been thinking on updating all my projects with a personalized logo, like the one on the Timeline I uploaded not long ago, file that I also lost. So I will be taking this chance to do just that, create new logos for each team and update them all with it while I redo all my data base. Btw, anyone knows of a place to download the PR logos? I had them all and used them as base for my logos, but they too are gone so I have to get them anew.
Well, I hope you all understand why I won't be uploading anything for a while. I'll still try to be around replying to comments on my works or notes you send me. As soon as I'm all back on my feet I'll post another journal entry to let you know I'm completely back.

Comission Open - Read here please

I know, they are not really Comissions since I don't charge for them, but Comissions sound better than requests so, play along with me please.
Well, perhaps I have shared this before, perhaps not. Truth is I don't quite remember and my head has been kind of a mess as of late so I won't even bother searching. Point is I had closed Comission for a while due to some requests being incomplete either missing information on the teams, colors, etc. and/or the requester not replying to my notes asking for aditional info. Plus I had a job prospect that was very appealing but that seems to be going nowhere really so, I'll just move on from that.
So knowing all this, I decided I would be taking on comission again, but will be using this Journal as the request stand, that way it will be more organized and I can give a few points I want to leave clear for the comissions I'll be taking from now on.
So here are my terms for accepting Comissions from now on:
1- One Comission per person at the time. This way I don't get spammed with many requests so I can still have time for my own personal projects.
2- Have an idea in mind of how you want your team to look like. If you have a pic for reference that is just better. Originality is imo, the most important thing for a project. It gives you the right to be proud of the team no matter how good or bad it looks to others, you know its yours and that is enough to make you proud of them.
3- Have an original concept, a fully fledge concept of what your team is. As much as possible that is, I know some themes like ninjas and dinos have been done many times, but try giving it your own personal touch. Why would they use those powers? What is their motivation? Something along those lines. Because let me tell you, a good backstory provides enough inspiration for creating a suit. Plus, I for one am very protective of my work and would hate someone else just copies my idea and change a color or two of the teams and call it their own. So while I know many artists who do PR teams, I'm sure I don't know them all and if you have me creating a team that is a copy of someone else's, then we will get into trouble, both of us. and I don't want that. So please, BE ORIGINAL.

4-DO NOT under any circumstance ask me to do a team for you based on one of mines. I can not be too emphatic on this. All my teams are MY hardwork, both on the creation of the team's appearance AND their backstory. I put too much effort in my teams to be handing them over to anyone. So please, stay away from my teams.
5- DO NOT ask me to create a team that is basically a rip off/copy of an existing team. I have done it in the past (though not many times really) and while I don't hate it, I prefer originality. What I could accept to do is a team that is a mash up of two or more existing teams. Canon teams. Why canon teams? Well they are known by all and we all know who owns them, so we won't be getting into trouble for using them as a base. Again, I could refuse to this if the idea does not appeal to me, this could be because its a mash up I've already done or the mash up sounds too close to another team.
6- DO NOT ask me to complete your team for you. Again, I want originality and while it is totally acceptable you have pictured your team colors but don't know to whom assign each color. DO NOT ask me to choose the color AND genders of your team. Also, don't come saying "I don't know how they would look, I just want 5 rangers" that is totally unacceptable. As stated above, if you give me a good backstory I could fill in the blanks and come up with something. But I won't do something from scratch, not as a comission that is, that would be as much work as creating my own team, and I have my own projects for that.

I'd like to make a request!My team's name: Self explanatoryInspiration: this could be a brief explanation on what the team looks like or their backstory if you have one. While you might not know how you want them to look, if you give me a good description on the team's overall theme, I could come up with something, but I need YOU to provided that backstory. Maybe you have created one ranger and would like the rest of the team for them, that is totally fine, but give me that ranger's description then. Also if you have a pic that would be better.Team members: how many members the team has and who are male and who are female. Also state here who wears which, numbers, animals, etc.Team Symbol if any: something to assemble them as a team, think of the Pai Zhuq symbol of Jungle Fury or the Dino Foot Print on Dino Thunder. The symbol is to be located somwhere on their suit, and since its YOUR team, if you can suggest where to put it that would be great.
Team Leader: it might sound odd to you, but for some people, me included, the Red Ranger is not the staple leader. More often than not they are, true, but many of us appoint different rangers for the role of leader. So maybe you do too? Maybe you want to try something different? Or maybe you just want to play safe and choose Red as leader. All of that is perfectly fine really. I just want to know who the leader is because, if you're familiar with my work, you'll know I put the leader in the middle of the group and would like to be able to do the same with your comission.

Canon Changes are here!

So, recently I've been working on a new set of deviations because it has come to my attention that my Kaiserverse has some canon changes that are important for its overall plot that I haven't discussed with anyone, so expecting people to understand things they don't know is well... kind of dumb. So this set was born as a mean to both show and explain said changes.It will have its own folder that you can find here is you want to know more about those changes I made Kaiserverse Canon Changes
So, the first batch is already up, mostly, I had 1 more that I wanted to add but it had already passed long enough since the due date I put for myself (yeah, believe it or not I work on a schedule lol). So I decided I would upload the batch as it is and whe I get the chance I will add the other one as a single entry, or maybe wait 'till the next batch.
I also want to take this chance to apologize to all those who have asked for comissions, some have already reached me wanting to know about the delay because well, they are long overdue, partly because of life stuff and partly because of this project, but in anycase, I apologize for the long wait. In any case, I will be working on Comissions from now on, maybe I will not have them all set, but I will post as much as I can to make up for the lost time, this doesn't mean they will be low quality of course, so don't worry, I will not be rushing projects just to clear schedule, will still give each of them the work they deserve, just you know, work faster.

Well, as many might have noticed, I have been awol from dA the past few months, work got the best of my time and the little time I had free I had to use it for personal stuff so I was not able to evenlog in to chek on comments and notes, let alone uploading new/pending work. On the bright/not-so-bright side, I lost my job T.T but hey, that means more free time right?
So I wanted to apologize to my watchers for that (being awol for so long), I know that if you take the time to hit that "Watch" button is because I have done something that you like and you want to see more, sadly I had not been able to deliver on that lately, I am really sorry. But hey, I am back and I have one work that is almost done, I am only missing the helms (the hardest part x.x) but I'll try to finish and upload it soon. As you might now, I have many pending projects, and I will try my best to deliver them ASAP, but I can't make any promises yet, if I find a job as time consuming as the last one I will probably get lost again (I really hope note), but I will make sure that if that's the case I will at least let you people now before.
And well, I guess that's it, I am unemployed now, so it means more free time to work on my art, though I'll be honest, a man's got to eat, and pay rent, and pay debts, so... I will be looking for a job these days (weeks probably) plus there are the holidays... But anyway, I'll make sure to upload at least 2-4 finished new works soon.
Also, thank you all who took the time to wish me a happy birthday, I really really appreciate that!

Well first of all, I want to apologize for being late on some (most) of the comissions requested, I've been busy these past couple months with family reunions during the holidays and paperwork for graduation since this year begun. I have been working on the comission and other stuff, its just that I've had little time to make much advance, in fact I made real progress until last week. But anyway, I want to apologize for that and let everyone who have made requests that I haven't forgotten them, I've just been busy and will post them shortly, hopefully.
Second, I've been working on a project (more like a thing) of my own, I have noticed that some of my ranger teams, specially those with a white ranger look odd with the white background, so I figured I'd edite them and remove the background so they can be appreciated better without the light contrast provided by the white background. Also, I decided to add some sort of reflection to the helms just to make them look somewhat more realistic. And well, this is what I have been doing lately too. I will post the updated versions shortly, most likely I will just update the original works, but in the case I have made more than just those changes stated above I'll leave a note on the arts and in the cases that I have made so many changes that they look completely different or well, at least different enough to notice at first glance, I'll post the new work as a new deviation and leave a link in the description to the original works. The stories (I'm not even sure somebody reads them but I enjoy wirting them) will be moved to the updated works and leave the originals with just a brief description of them and a link to the updates. Finally the original works will NOT be erased, I will create a new folder and move the originals there.
Lastly I'd ask you guys if you could bee kind enough to comment on the updated works, I'd like to know is you like them so I will know I should continue doing them and implementing those changes on future works. Thanks.
